Nora Sophia

Executive Director, Arts in Play

Nora Sophia is a San Antonio native with more than 25 years of experience across membership organizations, executive consulting, civic leadership, and community development. She is known throughout San Antonio's business and nonprofit ecosystem for her ability to build the human and organizational architecture that moves missions forward.

Before joining Arts in Play, Nora served as Director of Membership & Marketing at the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and as the founding architect of Centre Club San Antonio's member campaign — securing 300 founding members before the club ever opened its doors. For over two decades, she has also maintained an independent executive coaching practice rooted in her Identity Architecture™ methodology, working with leaders across various corporations and organizations. 

A published author (Learning to Breathe, Tapestry) and serving on various boards, Nora brings to this role a lifetime of investing in this city and a deep personal conviction that the arts are not a luxury — and that older adults & veterans deserve stages, not just seats.
